3 bedroom house in North London, built 1840. Sleeps 6. Beautiful period home, high ceilings, Victorian features, open fireplaces, stripped wooden floorboards in downstairs rooms. Large modern kitchen, plenty of space and comfort. Digital cable TV and broadband internet available for use. Situated in quiet residential road in Tottenham, North London, very easy access by public transport to central London and all attractions. Area Details Tottenham is an area of North London (not really far enough out to be called a suburb) with a community feeling, quite lively and multicultural. Local shops and amenities are good, although for better restaurants you'll need to travel a little to places like Stoke Newington (10 minutes bus or car) or Crouch End (20 minutes). Nearby is Tottenham Hotspur football club (one of the main English Premiership teams), parks and historic buildings (Bruce Castle, Alexandra Palace). Not far from Highgate, Hampstead, Islington, Camden and other North London places with lots of history, attractions, shopping and entertainment. The road itself is very quiet and made up of houses like ours. If you happen to like golf there are lots of courses within half-hour drive. Travel Details 1 minute walk to main road where there are plenty of buses heading into different parts of central London (London buses have improved greatly in the last few years, with more bus lanes and new "bendy buses", so they are a quick way of getting around). Or take any of the buses 5 stops (5 minutes) to Seven Sisters tube station on the Victoria line, 20 minutes from Oxford Circus (heart of London's West End shopping district). Very easy to get around on public transport. Can drive locally or heading out of London, but going into the centre public transport is much easier.
